• What is an e-Visa?

  An e-Visa is an official document permitting entry into and travel within Egypt. This electronic authorization is used for tourist or business purpose and it´s an alternative to the classic Visa.

• What do I need to apply for an e-Visa?

  To apply, it’s necessary to have a valid passport at least six months from arrival date. In order to apply you will also need to have a credit card and an email address.

• Are there advantages of an e-Visa?

  The application with an internet connection is easy, convenient and saves time.

• For how long an e-Visa is valid?

  The e-Visa is valid for 3 months. However, the maximum stay in Egypt is 30 days.

• How long can I stay in Egypt with the e-Visa?

  The e-Visa allows the traveller to stay in Egypt for up to 30 days.

• Do I need an e-Visa for a Transit in Egypt?

  No, the e-Visa is not necessary if you only stay in the transit area of the airport.

• Do I have to apply for an e-Visa for my child who is minor?

  All travellers, regardless of age, must obtain their own e-Visa to enter Egypt by air.

• Can I change the travel date on my e-Visa?

  If you are not going to use your e-Visa during its validity, you must apply for a new e-Visa.

• Do I have to enter Egypt on the date specified on my e-Visa?

  No, you can enter Egypt on any date from the day your e-Visa is valid.

• Are my data secure after I have provided it for the e-visa?

  The Republic of Egypt does not sell, rent or otherwise use for commercial purposes any personal information entered in the e-Visa Application System to third parties. Any information obtained at each stage of the application are stored in high security systems. The applicant bears full responsibility for the safety of the soft and hard copies of the e-Visa.

• How long does it take to get my e-Visa?

  The visa normally is granted within a few hours and will be emailed to you. We always suggest to apply for the e-Visa at least 7 days prior your departure.

• When should I apply for an e-Visa?

  You can apply for an e-Visa any time before your departure, but we advice our customers to apply at least 7 days before the departure.

• Can i use my e-Visa for a single entry only?

  Depending on your passport you will be able to enter Egypt with a single or multiple entry visa.

• I have changed my passport, can i still use my e-Visa?

  If you get a new passport, you have to apply for a new e-visa. Indeed, all the data on your passport should match with your e-visa, including your passport number.

• Can I get a refund if my plans have changed and I do not use my e-Visa?

  No. No refunds of payments can be done for unused e-Visas.

• If my application is denied, will my payment be refunded?

  Yes, if your application is denied a full refund is given.
